Prior to joining the University of Hong Kong in 2020, Dr. Jeong taught Korean to international students from diverse backgrounds for over a decade. Her academic specialization is in the acquisition of Korean grammar, with research focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and form-meaning connections. She has also co-authored several books aimed at Korean language learners across primary, secondary, and tertiary education levels, as well as books for Korean language teachers.

Dr. Jeong teaches Korean I.1 (KORE1001), Korean I.2 (KORE1002), Korean II.1 (KORE2001), Korean II.2 (KORE2002), Korean writing 2 (KORE3023), and Chinese-Korean translation (KORE3041). Additionally, she serves as the coordinator for Year 1 Korean language courses.
